Recommended Setup

mobile-mc can run on Android, but server stability still depends on your device, world size, plugins, and player count.

Android 8.0 Oreo or newer
arm64-v8a recommended for most modern phones
At least 4 GB RAM recommended for smoother hosting
1 GB or more free storage for the app, server files, and worlds
Stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection for players joining remotely
Battery optimization disabled while hosting longer sessions

Known Limitations

A phone can host a Minecraft server, but Android and mobile networks have real limits.

Android may stop or throttle the server when the app is backgrounded.
Large worlds, many players, or heavy plugins may be too demanding for phone hardware.
Remote access depends on your network, router, carrier NAT, and tunnel provider.
Long sessions can drain battery and warm the device, so plugged-in hosting is recommended.
A desktop machine or VPS is still better for public, always-on, high-traffic servers.

FAQ

mobile-mc is built for Android devices that can run native APKs. For the best experience, use a modern 64-bit phone or tablet with the arm64-v8a build.
